BURTON, MI Three teens have been charged with manslaughter in the death of their friend, killed during an apparent game of Russian roulette.
Genesee County Prosecutor David S. Leyton told MLive his office this week authorized a charge of involuntary manslaughter against the teen males, two who are now 17 and one who is now 19. The youngest of the trio is charged as a juvenile as he was 16 when the fatal shooting occurred, while the other two are charged as adults.
The names of the two adult defendants are being withheld pending their arraignment in Genesee County District Court. ....

Police on Monday announced an investigation into the October shooting death of a Michigan teenager after they learned that Russian roulette was being played at the time of the incident, according to authorities.
After interviews and the collection of evidence, it was determined that some occupants of the house were playing Russian roulette, the Burton Police Department wrote on Facebook. The victim suffered a single self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
Police were initially called to a home in Burton, Mich., about four miles east of downtown Flint, on Oct. 24., in response to a shooting. The teen was unresponsive and transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, authorities said. ....

After a Michigan teen was found unresponsive in his home in October, law enforcement just revealed that the cause of his death appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head from playing the game Russian roulette.
After interviews and the collection of evidence, it was determined that some occupants of the house were playing Russian roulette, the Burton Police Department said in a Facebook post on Monday. The victim suffered a single self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
The police department has also chosen not to share the teen s name yet, according to NBC News. What they have reported, however, is that he was a 17-year-old student at Bentley High School. The school made a post to Facebook announcing the loss, and calling for the community to come together. ....
