Lee s fourth homer of the season forced extra innings.Redshirt junior Frankie Niemann started the 10th inning on second due to NCAA rules. He then moved to third on redshirt junior Luis Aviles sacrifice bunt. NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Tulane (27-17, 16-5 AAC) closed out its doubleheader with a 9-1 win over UCF (23-27, 13-13 AAC) to complete the twinbill sweep Friday evening inside Greer Field at Turchin Stadium.
With the win, Tulane moved to 12-2 on the year in doubleheader matchups in league play.
“We got two more (wins) so we have good feelings going to bed tonight,” head coach Travis Jewett said. “We’ll have to get up tomorrow and play good baseball because they’re a prideful group and well coached. They’ll be ready to go tomorrow so we will have to come back and do it again.”

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - No. 22 Tulane suffered a 9-1 setback on Sunday to No. 13 ECU at Lewis Field at Clark-LeClair Stadium.
Tulane loss marked the first time this season that the Green Wave had dropped an American Athletic Conference series. Tulane’s loss also moved the Green Wave to 25-17 overall and 14-5 in league play.
The Green Wave collected seven hits on the afternoon, but were unable to string enough hits together with runners in scoring position. ECU finished the afternoon with nine hits. Four of those hits were home runs which propelled the Pirates to their 33rd win of the season and moved ECU back into first place in league play.
