Colon Garden Club will hold its perennial-plant sale 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at the community park.
Marie Fisher, club treasurer and a member since 1978, said the event will feature a variety of perennials, typically ranging in price from $2 to $6. There are a few homemade craft items available for purchase, too.
“Most of the plants we get are on consignment from Red Barn Greenhouse in Centreville as well as from people’s gardens,” Fisher said. “It’s very much a group effort that we do for a fundraiser along with our green sale that we have at Christmas time.” ....
