Govt to enlist private hospitals to make Covid-19 vaccine available 24/7

Union health minister Harsh Vardhan on Wednesday announced that citizens will now be able to take vaccine round the clock as per their convenience, a day after the centre asked states and union territories to utilise capacities available with private hospitals functioning as coronavirus vaccination centres in order to speed up coronavirus vaccination drive.
The government has ended the time constraint to increase the speed of vaccination. Citizens of the country can now get vaccinated 24x7 at their convenience, the minister said in a tweet on the microblogging website Twitter. ....

In the recent case of
Amgen Inc. v. Sanofi, Aventisub LLC, the Federal Circuit affirmed the district court’s invalidation of certain of Amgen’s antibody patent claims, concluding that the claims were not “enable[d]” under 35 U.S.C. § 112. This decision establishes that it is more difficult to satisfy the enablement requirement for antibody claims that use functional language to describe the antibody. (The court granted Amgen’s motion to extend the deadline for filing a petition for panel rehearing and/or rehearing en banc until April 14, 2021.

DRDO successfully flight-tests solid fuel ducted ramjet technology for air-to-air missiles

Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) today successfully carried out a flight demonstration based on Solid Fuel Ducted Ramjet (SFDR) technology from the Integrated Test Range Chandipur off the coast of Odisha at around 1030 hrs.
DRDO said all the subsystems, including the booster motor and nozzle-less motor, performed as expected. During the test, many new technologies were proven, including Solid Fuel based Ducted Ramjet technology, it added.
The successful demonstration of Solid Fuel based Ducted Ramjet technology will enable DRDO to develop long range air-to-air missiles. At present, such technology is available only with a handful of countries in the world. ....
