(KRDO) A $30,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the individual(s) involved in the murder of Marilee Burt. After 51 years, investigators, family and friends have not given up in the search to find who brutally murdered the then 15-year-old Marilee Burt. Marilee was last seen alive walking home in her cheerleading uniform after a basketball game at Goddard Junior High School in Littleton, Colorado on February 26, 1970. Several independent witnesses reported seeing Marilee walking a route that included Berry Drive, Bowles Avenue and Middlefield Road, but she never made it home.

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers on Sunday announced an increase in the reward to $30,000 for information leading to an arrest in 1970 murder of 15-year-old Marilee Burt. “The substantial increase to the reward hopefully allows us to collect more information to bring the suspect(s) in the Marilee Burt homicide to justice.” said Arapahoe County Sheriff Tyler Brown in a news release. “We continue the complex work required to follow up on leads in this case for Marilee and her family. The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office is grateful for the commitment from community members to assist in bringing justice for victims of crime and victim’s families.”

Emergency services were called to the scene along Collinsville Elphinstone Road and Perry Drive at Glenden about 6.30pm Friday. A Queensland Police Service spokesman said initial investigations found the car had collided with a turning semi-trailer truck. The spokeswoman said the truck driver was not injured in the crash. A woman was taken to Mackay Base Hospital overnight following a collision between her car and a truck at Glenden. The Independent PERRY TWP. – Work should get rolling by early summer to resurface sections of more than a dozen streets for the township s 2021 road repaving program. John Masalko, supervisor of the Perry Road Department, said parts of 15 neighborhood roads located on Perry s northwest side are slated for improvements. The northwest sector is specifically being targeted this year to help save a few bucks. We re concentrating on the one area, Masalko said. Jumping all over the township gets us charged a mobilization fee. But all these roads (on the list) are bad. Estimated cost for the 2021 proposed resurfacing project is approximately $430,000, according to Masalko, who expects the public bidding process for construction to be finalized in May.
