Chevrolet built millions of them, so they're not exactly rare, but they still command high prices in mint-condition form. Restomods are just as expensive if done right, with stickers often exceeding the $100,000 mark. 10 photos The 1957 cars seem to be the most desirable of the Tri-Five lineup, most likely due to their hot-rod-oriented looks and more powerful V8. The Bel Air two-door hardtops are particularly popular, while the Nomad, essentially a two-door Bel Air wagon, is the rarest, with just 6,264 built in 1957.

It is an American icon, with great lines and proportions, distinctive chrome headlights, tastefully oversized fins. The body strip line that runs down the entire flank of the vehicle only to open into the white (or silver) accent on the rear fender made the Bel Air unique.
Chevrolet built some five million Tri-Five cars from 1955 to 1957, in a production run that included no fewer than 20 trims. The two-door Bel Air models are the most iconic, but the Nomad is the rarest of them all.

It comes with a touching story as it was purchased by the seller on Valentine's Day, but for some reason, the car ended up spending most of the time in a garage, alongside a 1964 Chevy Impala.
