TERRE HAUTE - Indiana State University has received a $580,000 gift to create two endowed scholarships, one for students from Brazil, Indiana, and another for students whose parents dont have a college degree.
Bob and Lisa Jerry have created the Roy M. and Dorothy R. Jerry Scholarship and the Jerry Family Scholarship as part of their estate plans. Bob Jerry, who had a 38-year career as a law school professor and dean, received ISUs Distinguished Alumni Award in 1992. ....

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Indiana State University has received a $580,000 gift to create two endowed scholarships. One will be for students from Brazil, Indiana, and another for students whose parents don’t have a college degree.
Bob and Lisa Jerry created the Roy M. and Dorothy R. Jerry Scholarship and the Jerry Family Scholarship as part of their estate plans. Bob Jerry had a 38-year career as a law school professor and dean. He received ISU’s Distinguished Alumni Award in 1992.
“ISU is my family’s university,” Bob Jerry said. “Most of my relatives who attended college graduated there, and my parents and a great-aunt were faculty. But more than that, Lisa and I believe it is very important to lend a hand to young people who can’t afford to attend college or who are denied opportunities because of barriers society throws at them. TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Over at Indiana State University, they ve been holding graduation services since last night.
This morning, Bayh College of Education and College of Health and Human Services students got to walk across the stage.
501 graduate students and 1,585 undergraduates received their degrees this weekend.
As you can imagine, graduates were happy they could have this opportunity.
I m pretty excited after a year with everything going on with COVID I wasn t able to walk for my undergrad so I was happy ISU let me come back to walk and kinda make up for it, says graduate Jon Lamacki. ....

ISU receives 3 gifts, totaling $600,000

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) Indiana State University announced Friday it had received three gifts totaling $600,000 from both several alumni and parents of current and recent students.
One came from the McKee family, whose connection to ISU spans three generations and nine decades, who donated $250,000 in support of the President’s Scholars program. In recognition of the gift, ISU’s Board of Trustees on Friday approved the naming of the McKee Family Heritage Lounge in Tirey Hall.
“The McKee family’s connection to Indiana State University is special,” ISU President Deborah J. Curtis said. “This family has made an impressive mark at ISU, and the naming of the McKee Family Heritage Lounge is a fitting tribute recognizing their generous commitment to grow opportunities for students in the President’s Scholars program.” ....
