Potato LEAF Fundraising Goals Pt 3 Thursday Jan 7th, 2021 National Potato Council’s Mike Wenkel says the industry has really stepped up … WENKEL … “You know, they really did. When we look at the outcome from a Founders Society standpoint, the Potatoes USA Challenge, that $500-thousand match was a big part of it that we easily reached by the first of June.” Wenkel says that support came from many sectors … WENKEL … “State organizations stepped up heavily along with several farm organizations as well as some industry people. And again, we kind of moved into not really pushing heavily by the middle of April and the industry was still there supporting it and really stepping up. So, kudos to all of those out there that recognized that and still stepped up to the plate to support us.” ....
