April 27 NH DHHS COVID-19 update: 273 positive results with 16 in Manchester; no deaths reported

CONCORD, NH – On Tuesday, April 27, 2021, DHHS announced 273 new positive test results for COVID-19, for a current PCR test positivity rate of 2.9%. Today’s results include 163 people who tested positive by PCR test and 110 who tested positive by antigen test. There are now 2,611 current COVID-19 cases diagnosed in New Hampshire.
Several cases are still under investigation. Additional information from ongoing investigations will be incorporated into future COVID-19 updates. Of those with complete information, there are 61 individuals under the age of 18 and the rest are adults with 46% being female and 54% being male. The new cases reside in Rockingham (69), Hillsborough County other than Manchester and Nashua (42), Strafford (24), Merrimack (23), Belknap (15), Grafton (14), Coos (11), Carroll (10), Cheshire (10), and Sullivan (5) counties, and in the cities of Manchester (16) and Nashua (13). Vaccine Operations Centre - Weekly Operational Update

1,937,300 vaccinations have been completed as increasing supplies of vaccine are delivered to more than 5000 sites across the country.
As of today, 3,589,686 doses of vaccine have been delivered to those sites by the Australian Government, with 1,088,552 doses available for use.
The Vaccine Operations Centre (VOC) plays a lead role in the vaccination rollout. It is working in close partnership with the States, Territories and the primary care sector to safely, securely and efficiently store, transport, deliver and administer COVID-19 vaccines across Australia, in support of Phase 1a and 1b of the rollout.
Operations Coordinator of the VOC, Commodore Eric Young, CSC, RAN, said: “Last week, more than 356,000 doses of vaccine were administered, up from 330,000 doses the week before, which is an outstanding achievement. ....

Today’s results include 165 people who tested positive by PCR test and 120 who tested positive by antigen test. There are now 3,159 current COVID-19 cases diagnosed in New Hampshire.

Granite Staters woke up to the news Tuesday that federal health agencies had recommended a pause on the distribution of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine after rare blood clots developed in six women who received it. Acting FDA Commissioner Janet Woodcock said ta review of the vaccine would likely take a matter of days” and that the agencies are acting out of an abundance of caution.
While the announcement called for a quick pivot, state health officials in New Hampshire say they were able to allocate Moderna vaccines in place of Johnson & Johnson. Vaccine providers were already expecting less Johnson & Johnson this week because of production challenges. Gov.
