Islamabad: The speakers at a three-day national caucus pointed out that it was crucial to provide the youth of Pakistan a platform to express their thoughts and opinions and they should be involved in the decision making process as much as possible because the social fabric of any developing country was dependent upon its youth.

Washington, May 21 (IANS) In the November 2020 US presidential elections, Indian-Americans reported the highest rate of voting at 71 per cent among adult citizens, according to the publisher of demographic data and policy research on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI).

There’s a possibility Idaho legislators could be going back to work this summer. Not for the reason some expected. When the House of Representatives recessed instead of adjourning, it allowed the House to come back and work distribution of relief money from the federal government. If needed. The Senate adjourned, but if House is back in session, the Senate will need to return within a couple of days.
Many would otherwise be kicked out of their homes. Now as many as four thousand face that possibility.

ISLAMABAD: Democratic US Senator Chris Van Hollen has said the Reconstruction Opportunity Zones (ROZs) in Pakistan and Afghanistan border regions will help usher in political stability and block the way for elements like al-Qaeda and ISIS after US withdrawal from Afghanistan. Karachi born Senator Van Hollen said so in virtual conference on the Pakistan-Afghanistan Economic Development Act with the Pakistani and US journalists which was hosted by Pak origin Democratic leader Tahir Javed. It’s a bipartisan bill sponsored by Senator Van Hollen and other members of US congress. In response to another question, the Senator said that the bill does not aim to displace CPEC and in fact he had proposed this bill way back around 15 years back. He said he and colleagues have revived the effort to introduce these incentives to business in Pakistan and Afghanistan to promote employment and business activity to limit the likely chaos after US exit. ....
