The chamber has released the following: The Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber is proud to announce the nominees for their annual chamber awards to be presented at the 2021 Business Recognition Event on March 10 th. This year, the Chamber has added a new Pandemic Excellence category to specifically recognize businesses and organizations who managed to stand out in their industry and step up for their community, despite the unprecedented challenges brought on by COVID-19. NEW BUFFALO â Pleasure Isle Marina in New Buffaloâs harbor has a new owner and a new manager. The New Buffalo Township Board finalized the townshipâs purchase of Pleasure Isle Marina on Dec. 17, and hired Julie Flick as the marina manager during its Dec. 21 meeting. A boater herself, Flick was the Berrien County Sheriffâs lieutenant who headed the New Buffalo Township patrol until her retirement last June. True to her word, Flick took the summer off before finding her new assignment which will pay $200 per month and $15 per hour. The 26-slip marina was purchased by the township from the William J. Deputy Endowment Fund for $500,000 over six years. The marinaâs value has been estimated at $3 million with estimated annual revenues of $136,000. ....

A âWinter Reading Advisory!â has been issued for the Three Oaks area. This Winter Reading Program for adults at the Three Oaks Township Public Library will begin on Monday, January 4, 2021, and end on Friday, March 26, 2021. Registration begins on January 4 and the first 30 people will receive a cute mug that is perfect to fill with cocoa as you snuggle up with a good book.
