Unlocked editorial director and former Brexit Party MEP Martin Daubney appeared on the Jeremy Vine Show on Channel 5 and was asked what he was looking forward to after lockdown. Martin Daubney used the question to stick it to Boris Johnson who he says is cowering in his bunker and is damaging the large UK hospitality industry. He urged the Government to save the UK s economy which is dying a slow death and give reassurance to businesses that they can open quicker if needed.
Data is showing the vaccines are sufficiently effective in reducing hospitalizations and deaths.
Infection rates do not risk putting unsustainable pressure on the NHS.
The risk assessment is not changed by new Variants of Concern.
The Government will also outline the four-step plan of the lifting of the current rules, including the reopening of schools on March 8 and outdoor sports on March 29.
It is expected that there will be five weeks between each of the steps in order for the Government to check what impact the lifting of the rules is having on infection and hospitalisation levels.

England is in the midst of its third national lockdown and Brits are eagerly awaiting an announcement from Boris Johnson on how lockdown will eventually start to ease. In his roadmap announcement today, it is hoped the Prime Minister will outline when people will be allowed to start meeting again in social settings. The Prime Minister is expected to announce a four-stage roadmap out of lockdown for England in his speech to the Commons later and in his following television address today.

Boris Johnson’s long-awaited roadmap announcement took place in the House of Commons on Monday afternoon, followed by a televised address to the nation at 7pm from Downing Street. England is in the midst of its third national lockdown since March 2020 and many are hopeful lockdown measures can start to ease for good over the coming months. But the Prime Minister has made clear any easing of lockdown measures will be based on “data, not dates”.
