With Covid restrictions being lifted to seat 500 spectators it made for a playoff type atmosphere. In the annual “Play for Hope” game which the Warriors and Lady Warriors wear pink.
Lander would come into Warrior Gymnasium to even the series between these two ranked teams. With Powell, Lander, Lovell, and Worland all in the Northwest Quad of the Wyoming 3A Division. Two of those teams won’t make State.
Worland was ranked second for the first time all season. They have been ranked number one all season long. With the loss to Powell Coaches and Media dropped them in the polls.

The Lady Warrior “Playing For Hope” game would be played in front of the largest crowd of the season. Covid restrictions were partially lifted and 500 spectators would be able to attend.
Worland last lost on January 28th in Lander. It would be their largest loss, and least amount of points scored in a game.
Lander would come to Worland with a Conference 3-0 record and 12-2 overall and the number two ranking in Wyoming 3A girls basketball. The Lady Warriors had moved up to 5th with their 5 game win streak.
The Lady Warriors would come out with a 13 point first period with scoring provided by Darla Hernandez and her six points. Denali Jones had four, and Brooke Wright added a three pointer in the first shot of the game.

As the Worland Warrior Boys Swimming and Diving team heads to the Wyoming 3A State Swimming Meet in Laramie. Preliminaries are Friday and the Finals on Saturday. We talked with two of the Swimmers and one of the Divers. Also had a conversation with Head Boys Swimming and Diving Coach Justin Howe. The boys talked about goals, expectations and what they thought about the meet. We also talked about the work and dedication it takes to compete. What swimming has meant, and what swimming with the Water Jets did for helping their swimming careers. Listen below to their comments about the upcoming State Meet. The Worland Warriors remain at the number one spot in Wyoming 3A Boys Basketball. Tops in the State as the Warriors had lost two in a row.
Hot Springs County would reschedule a game from Saturday and play on Tuesday night. The Bobcats were 4-10 for the season and 0-4 in the 3A Northeast Quad.
The Warriors came out shooting with three’s. Rudy Sanford had two. Jorey Anderson and Brock Douzenis both had one. Added with Mack Page and his six points. Worland finished the first period with a 25-15 lead.
The Bobcats Hardy Johnson, Adley Coyne, and Jase Longwell would carry the bulk of the Hot Springs offense in the second period. Sanford would continue with long range shots. Scoring would come from eight different Warriors in the first half. 37-28 halftime lead.
