KARACHI/ SUKKUR: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) authorities have rejected the remarks of Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani regarding the bureau, saying the minister’s statement “is not only untrue, baseless and misleading, rather, it is an attempt to influence the cases of Pakistan People’s Party leaders Syed Khursheed Shah and Aijaz Jakhrani, which are under proceedings at accountability court.”
The Sindh Education Minister, Saeed Ghani, on Thursday had criticised the NAB for attempting to arrest party leader Aijaz Jakhrani. The NAB press release said Ghani’s statement was “misleading the public about the NAB cases, proceedings at courts would be reviewed under Section 31 of the NAB Ordinance and the law will make its own way.” ....

Congress has written to Twitter demanding that tweets by other BJP leaders and Union Ministers should also be tagged as manipulative media, applying the same yardsticks it used towards the tweets on the allegedly forged toolkit by BJP spokesman Sambit Patra. The party had filed an FIR against the BJP leaders for forgery of documents.
In a letter to Twitter s Lead for Legal, Policy and Trust & Safety Vijaya Gadde and its Deputy General Counsel and Vice President Jim Baker, AICC General Secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala said the social media platform should urgently affix the ‘Manipulative Media’ tags to the tweets of Union Ministers in the Narendra Modi Government for spreading false and malicious propaganda. ....

New Delhi [India], May 25 (ANI): The Congress on Tuesday wrote to Twitter seeking the urgent need to affix manipulative media tags to the tweets of the Union Ministers in the central government for spreading false and malicious propaganda .
Congress in its letter, said former Member of Parliament Rajeev Gowda and Chairman of Congress Social Media Department Rohan Gupta had earlier addressed a communication to Twitter on the subject matter of the forged Toolkit document created by the BJP leaders to gain undue and wrongful political advantage by spreading potentially dangerous, false and fabricated material through their Twitter handles, against the party and its leaders. ....

New Delhi [India], March 1 (ANI): The National Human Rights Commission has asked the Uttar Pradesh government to submit the proof of payment to the victim of a gang rape in Moradabad, which it had sanctioned on the recommendations of the Commission but apparently not released.
The Commission, reiterating its recommendations on February 23 has called for a compliance report within four weeks.
Ensure deployment of women police officers in all police stations, and share a list of police stations where there is no woman police officer; Take disciplinary action against the erring police officers; Register case u/s 166A IPC against police personnel, who did not register case on allegation of rape. ....
