The Pflugerville Public Library will offer an online summer reading program this year! It is our hope that life can get back to normal soon but in the meantime, virtual events will be hosted through the summer to provide opportunities for our guests of all ages to enjoy new reading materials, video tutorials for crafts, special guests and more.
Our popular Summer Reading Competition will return this year in an online format. Kids, teens and families are invited to participate as individuals or as a group. After participants are randomly sorted onto four teams, they can submit the number of hours they spend reading to earn points. The library will share updated team scores once a week on social media. Participants have an important choice to make. Will they submit hours each week, or save them up until the end of the summer to give their team a surprise boost? The winning team ....

The Pflugerville Public Library suspends curbside service as Travis County enters Stage 5

As a result of Austin Public Health s announcement on Wednesday of Travis County entering Stage 5 of the coronavirus threat, the Pflugerville Public Library has suspended its curbside service until further notice beginning Saturday.
Along with the library s curbside services, its TexShare database and interlibrary loans services also are on hold.
Under the Stage 5 guidelines, individuals should avoid gatherings outside of the household and avoid dining or shopping except as essential. Businesses should also scale back to only contactless options such as curbside or delivery service for restaurants.
Officials said the library will continue to accept item returns from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays through Saturdays. All returned items will be quarantined for 14 days. ....
