Prominent Nigerians financing terrorism to be prosecuted -Malami

The Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami (SAN), on Friday, said the Federal Government was set to prosecute some high-profile Nigerians and businessmen for financing terrorism.
He however did not disclose the identities of the suspects or the number of people affected.
Malami disclosed this in an interview with State House correspondents at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The minister said the profiling of the suspects started with the recent convictions of some Nigerians on terrorism financing in the United Arab Emirates.
He said an investigation had revealed that the suspects being profiled were culpable and there was the need for them to be prosecuted. ....

Prominent Nigerians, including leaders of thoughts from across ethnic and religion divide, gave their views on the current state of the nation, declaring that the country is currently worse than a Banana Republic while nothing appeared to be working at the moment.

Prominent Nigerians, including renowned political economist, Prof. Pat Utomi, former Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Dr Malifia Obadiah, among others are billed to speak at the 2nd Goke Omisore/Voice of Reasoning (VOR) Annual Lecture themed: “Creating an Inter-generational Dialogue for the Nigeria we want.”
The lecture, holding on Friday, February 19th, 2021 at 11 am through zoom-webinar, is organised by VOR, a foremost Yoruba Intelligentsia group, in honour of its Convener, late Prince Goke Omisore.
VOR Chairman, Dr Olufemi Adegoke, made this known on Saturday in a statement made available to newsmen.
