Davis Genealogy Club to talk about New England research Shares The Davis Genealogy Club invites the public to attend a free virtual presentation by genealogist Stuart Robertson titled, “Creative Connections – Linking Your Ancestors in 18th Century Massachusetts,” from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, via Zoom. Robertson will describe what to do when there are no census documents or the existing vital records contain minimal information or are incomplete. According to Robertson, “You have to get creative in where you look and persistent in your search. Sources such as probate files, tax lists, church records, town records, pension records and journals become important in your search and key to helping you build a case for the connection (between generations).” ....

Local healthcare systems, which will continue to focus on the virus and vaccinations for months to come, are also coping with decreased revenue, staff burnout and patients who delayed preventive care over the last year, leading in some cases to acute conditions. During a COVID-19 community summit hosted by the Yolo County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, representatives of local healthcare systems along with a variety of other sectors provided an update on the challenges they are dealing with even as the end of the pandemic may be in sight. ....
