THE legal team representing Norma Mngoma has suggested that since the Gauteng North High Court has pronounced her arrest and detention unlawful, criminal charges against her should also be dropped by the Pretoria Magistrates Court.
Former minister Malusi Gigaba’s wife made a brief appearance on Friday, 12 February, following the High Court judgement on Thursday that declared her arrest unlawful.
Mngoma was arrested by the Hawks last July, and had her electronic devices confiscated and later given back after some data was deleted. ....

Public protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane s perjury case has been postponed to March after a brief appearance in the Pretoria Magistrates court on Thursday.
Mkhwebane who is currently on a sabbatical leave until March has been formally charged for allegedly lying under oath on three occasions after disposing affidavits which contained apparent untruths.
Magistrates Adrian Bekker postponed the case to March 25 to allow for the management and resolution of pre-trial matters. ....

JOHANNESBURG - Two more suspects are expected hand themselves over on Monday morning in connection with a multi-million rand police car branding scam.
They will be joining 42 other accused who ve already been charged with corruption, fraud and money laundering in the Pretoria Magistrates Court.
The case stems from irregular supply chain management at the South African Police Service (SAPS) dating back to 2018. ....

The co-accused of the self-proclaimed prophet, Shepherd Bushiri, is hoping to continue with his bail application on Monday in the Pretoria Magistrates Court.

Bushiri, his wife, Mary, Landiwe Ntlokwana and Mudolo’s wife, Zethu, have all been released on bail.
