Vern Ross, 62, was one of two men charged after the incident in September 2019, and previously entered not guilty pleas to charges related to drug possession and trafficking. Over 1,800 hydromorphone and dilaudid pills were found at the residence. Police also seized $8,000 in cash. A recent pre-trial hearing at Prince Albert Court of Queen’s Bench determined the case to be tried by judge alone from Dec. 7 to Dec. 9.

Former Saskatchewan RCMP officer charged with first-degree murder granted bail
