AMMAN Jordan is “on the right track” in combating the pandemic as result of government measures, including Friday lockdowns and extended curfew hours amid the second wave, Health Minister Feras Al Hawari said on Thursday, pointing out that the ministry is considering measures to relax pandemic-induced restrictions.
The ministry is monitoring the epidemic curves, which are declining, thanks to public adherence to guidelines, the minister said, noting that measures are subject to periodic review and could be amended at any time, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.    ....

CAIRO, March 9 (Xinhua) The total number of COVID-19 cases in Turkey surpassed 2.8 million on Tuesday after 13,755 new infections were added. Meanwhile, the tally of coronavirus infections in Lebanon exceeded 400,000.
The Turkish Health Ministry confirmed the tally of COVID-19 cases in Turkey surged to 2,807,387, while the death toll from the virus rose by 66 to 29,160. ....
