25,000 complaints about ‘useless’ packaged bank accounts 
Some bank customers pay hundreds of pounds a year for premium accounts

Tens of thousands of customers have complained to banks about current account perks which have been rendered effectively useless during the pandemic.
There has been a spike in complaints to banks from customers paying for packaged bank account extras they cannot use, or did not realise they were paying for, in the last year. 
Complaints website Resolver received 25,043 complaints from packaged account customers in the last year. There was a rise in the number of people complaining about unsuitable add-ons such as travel insurance, which were little-used in 2020 because of international travel restrictions. ....
