When Charlotte North and her teammates at Boston College flew to California in February, they noticed a few people wearing masks.
“We were very confused and didn’t think anything like that was necessary,” she recalled. “About a month later, everyone was wearing masks. In the fall, we practiced in masks. It’s crazy to see how far we have come.”
2020 was already supposed to be the beginning of a new normal for North, who transferred to Boston College from Duke for her junior season.
