Health Department to offer no-appointment COVID-19 vaccines in Viera

Only first doses of the two-shot Moderna vaccine will be provided during these expanded hours. After people receive their first dose, they will be given an appointment before they leave the site, so they can have a reserved time to receive the second dose of the vaccine four weeks later.
Anyone age 18 and up is eligible to be vaccinated.
This will be the first time the Department of Health is holding no-appointment-necessary vaccinations at the Viera drive-thru location.
Reducing waiting list
Officials are hoping this will help reduce the number of Brevard County residents who want a COVID-19 vaccine, but have not been able to schedule an appointment for one, either through the Department of Health or at another venue. ....
