In the film Blow-Up (1966)[i] photographer (David Hemmings) becomes consumed by some enigmatic photographs he has taken in a park – do they show a murder in the background or not? A man has been stabbed to death in broad daylight in Islington after reportedly trying to stop a mugging. Police were called to Essex Road at 5.30pm on Saturday where they found the man, aged in his 50s, with stab wounds. The victim was treated by paramedics but he was pronounced dead at 17:58pm. A 21-year-old man has been left with potentially life-changing injuries after he was stabbed in Plumstead in the early hours of Saturday morning. Police were called at around 1.30am to reports that two men had been stabbed in Plumstead High Street.
