LaunchVT announces 2021 Accelerator Cohort | Vermont Business Magazine

Vermont Business Magazine LaunchVT has kicked off its ninth Accelerator Cohort with eight promising Vermont startups. The businesses were chosen from a competitive field based on the quality of their product, market, and founding team. All eight businesses have the potential to scale and create significant economic opportunity in their local communities. 
During the ten-week virtual accelerator, entrepreneurs in the LaunchVT cohort will work with a dedicated coach, business experts, and each other to understand their customers, refine their business models, solve their most pressing challenges, and hone their value and message.
They will participate in peer sessions, office hours with business advisors, and workshops with domain experts. They will leave the program with a comprehensive go to market strategy, dozens of new connections and thousands of dollars in professional services from our partners. ....

The Pitch Goes Virtual

Eleven teams of University of Vermont students recently participated in the 2021 Annual UVM Business Pitch Competition and put their business ideas on display. The competition moved to a virtual format this year allowing students from near and far to compete for over $3,000 in prizes.
Teams from four schools across campus were represented including Rubenstein School of Environment & Natural Resources, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences / Community Development & Applied Economics Department, Grossman School of Business (GSB), and the College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences / Mechanical Engineering Department. The business ideas ranged from an innovative rooftop multiple purpose co-working space, to a sustainable consignment clothing shop, a repurposed music venture, and an equal opportunity online employment platform for people with disabilities, to name a few. ....
