A MOTORCYCLIST was jailed after outrunning the police in a 150mph pursuit.
Michael Carter, 35, was spotted by cops on his bike at 9.14pm on November 15, 2019, who followed and signalled to stop at Long Drive, Irvine.
Carter, of Hillhead, Coylton, rode onto the A71, accelerating harshly to overtake a vehicle, while officers noted the speed at 150mph on the 70 road.
Reaching the A78, Carter rode towards the Monkton Roundabout then Dutch House roundabout overtaking two vehicles with officers at 140mph.
After continuing to the B738 towards Kilmarnock, the officers stood down due to danger of life – with a PMZ check confirming the bike was registered to Carter, who turned himself in at Irvine station on November 18 to be cautioned and charged. ....
