മാലിക്ക് പറയുന്നത്
തീരങ്ങൾക്ക് എപ്പോഴും കടലോളം കഥകൾ പറയാനുണ്ടാകും. അക്കഥകൾ പലതും ഇതിനോടകം സിനിമയിൽ ഇടം നേടിയിട്ടുള്ളവയുമാണ്. ഒരോ തവണ കടലെന്ന പശ്ചാത്തലത്തിൽ കഥയൊരുക്കുമ്പോഴും സിനിമാക്കാർ അവയെ വേറിട്ടതാക്കാൻ ശ്രമിക്കുന്നു. ചിലത് വിജയിക്കുന്നു. മറ്റു ചിലത് ആവർത്തനവിരസമാകുന്നു. കഥയിൽ പുതുമകൾ സമ്മാനിക്കാതെ കടലിന്റെ കഥകൾ വിജയിച്ച സിനിമാ ചരിത്രമില്ല.
മഹേഷ് നാരായണൻ സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത ‘മാലിക്ക്’ ഇതിനോടകം ജനശ്രദ്ധനേടിക്കഴിഞ്ഞു. 15‑ന് ആമസോൺ പ്രൈം വീഡിയോയിലാണ് ചിത്രം റിലീസ് ചെയ്തത്. മാലിക്കിന്റെ കഥയുടെ ഭൂമികയും കടലിനെ ചുറ്റിപ്പറ്റിയാണ്. തീരവും കടലും കഥയിൽ ഇടം പിടിക്കുമ്പോഴും, സിനിമ സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നത് കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളിലൂടെയാണ്. അതു തന്നെയാണ് മാലിക്കെന്ന സിനിമയുടെ തലങ്ങളെ വേറിട്ട ദൃശ്യാവിഷ്കാരമായി മാറ്റുന്നത്.
കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളെ വിദഗ്ദമായി പ്രതിഷ്ഠിക്കുന്നതിൽ ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ അണിയറപ്രവർത്തകർ വിജയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. ഒരോ അഭിനേതാക്കളേയും കഥാപാത്രത്തിന്റെ ദിശാബോധത്തോടെയാണ് മാലിക്കിൽ ഉരുക്കിചേർത്തിട്ടുള്ളത്. ഫഹദ് ഫാസിലിന്റേയും നിമിഷാ സജയന്റേയും പ്രകടനത്തെ ഇക്കാലത്ത് എടുത്ത് വിശേഷിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിൽ പുതുമയില്ല. എങ്കിലും ഇത്തവണയും അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ ഗംഭീരമായ ഭാവപ്രകടനമാണ് കാഴ്ച്ചവെച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത്. വിനയ് ഫോർട്ട്, ഇന്ദ്രൻസ്, ജോജു ജോർജ്ജ് ഒപ്പം മറ്റുള്ളവരും (പുതുമുഖങ്ങളടക്കം) മികച്ചതായി അഭ്രപാളിയിൽ തിളങ്ങി. നായകനും നായികയ്ക്കും ഒപ്പം സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നവർക്കും കഥാപാത്രപ്രധാന്യത്തിന്റെ കാര്യത്തിൽ തുല്യത ഉറപ്പാക്കാൻ തിരക്കഥാകൃത്ത് ആവോളം ശ്രദ്ധ ചെലുത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.
കടലിന്റെ സ്വഭാവത്തോട് സാമ്യമുള്ള സുലൈമാൻ അലിയുടെ ജീവിതമാണ് മാലിക്ക് പറയുന്നത്. തിരകൾ കരയടുക്കുന്നത് പോലെയാണ് അയാളുടെ ജീവിതവും. ചിലപ്പോൾ തിര ശാന്തമായി കരയിൽ പതിക്കും. മറ്റുചിലപ്പോൾ ആഞ്ഞടിക്കും. ജീവിതത്തിലെ കഴിഞ്ഞകാലത്തിന്റെ മുറിപ്പാടുകൾ മായ്ക്കാൻ ഹജ്ജിനു പോകാൻ തയ്യാറെടുത്ത സുലൈമാന്റെ ജീവിതത്തിൽ അപ്രതീക്ഷിതമായൊരു തിരയടിക്കുന്നു. അവിടുന്ന് പിന്നിലേക്കാണ് സിനിമയുടെ കഥ സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നത്.
സിനിമയുടെ എഡിറ്ററും തിരക്കഥാകൃത്തും കൂടിയായ മഹേഷ് നാരായണന്റെ വീക്ഷണബോദ്ധ്യം മാലിക്കിലുടനീളം വ്യക്തമാണ്. യാഥാർത്ഥ്യത്തോട് അടുത്ത് നിൽക്കുന്ന സംഭാഷണരചന അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ കാഴ്ചപ്പാടിന്റെ ഫലമാണ്. നോൺ ലീനിയറായുള്ള ട്രീറ്റ്മെന്റ് പലയിടത്തും സിനിമയുടെ ഒഴുക്കിനെ ബാധിക്കാത്ത തരത്തിൽ ആസ്വാദ്യകരമാക്കുന്നു. ദൃശ്യങ്ങളുടെ കൃത്യതയോടുള്ള കൂട്ടിച്ചേർക്കൽ എഡിറ്ററുടെ നൈപുണ്യത്തിന്റെ കൊടിപാറിക്കുന്നു.
സനു ജോൺ വർഗ്ഗീസാണ് മാലിക്കിന്റെ ക്യാമറ കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നത്. തുടക്കത്തിലെ ഒറ്റ ഷോട്ട് മാതൃകയുടെ പ്രസക്തി ഛായാഗ്രഹന്റെ കണ്ണിലൂടെ തെളിഞ്ഞ് കാണാം. കടലിന്റെ പലവശങ്ങളെ നിറപ്പകിട്ടോടെ ദൃശ്യഭാഷയിൽ കാണാൻ സാധിക്കും.
സുഷിൻ ശ്യാമിന്റെ പശ്ചാത്തലസംഗീതം പ്രേക്ഷകർക്ക് കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളോട് അടുത്ത് നിൽക്കാനുള്ള ഉണർവ് നൽകുന്നത് ചെറിയ തോതിലല്ല. കഥ അവസാന ഘട്ടത്തിലേക്ക് അടുക്കുമ്പോൾ പ്രത്യേകിച്ചും. വികാരങ്ങളുടെ വിവിധ വശങ്ങളിലേക്ക് അവ നമ്മെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുപോകും.
‘മനുഷ്യൻ ഉണ്ടായ കാലം മുതൽക്കേ കലഹങ്ങൾ അവന്റെയൊപ്പമുണ്ട്. അത് പലകാലത്തും പല വികാരങ്ങളുടെ പേരിലാകാം. സംഘർഷങ്ങൾ എന്തിന്റെ പേരിലായാലും അതിനെ മറികടക്കുന്ന ഒറ്റ വികാരമേയുള്ളൂ. അത് മനുഷ്യത്വമാണെ‘ന്ന് മാലിക്ക് വീണ്ടും ഓർമ്മിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
