Six state-owned universities to remove duplication of curriculum

/MONTSAME/ A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed today by six state-owned
universities namely the Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences, National
University of Mongolia, Mongolian University of Science and Technology, Mongolian
State University of Education, Mongolian State University of Culture and Arts
and Mongolian University of Life Sciences.
The document
was approved at the Cabinet meeting dated on March 3. With collaboration of these six
state-owned universities, duplication of curriculum will be removed. n
other words, these universities will not enroll and graduate students with same

Hokkaido University alumna Dr. Lesa Thompson is a Regional Project Officer at the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE), Regional Representation for Asia and the Pacific (RRAP) office in Tokyo. Here, she talks about the OIE, Hokkaido University’s Research Center for Zoonosis Control and her days as a student at the Graduate School of Veterinary Science.
I first met some students and professors from Hokkaido University’s Faculty of Veterinary Medicine who were visiting the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies at the University of Edinburgh. When I found out that their One Health PhD course was open to international applicants, I applied. During my course, I did two internships. Project of Mongolian scientists gains international recognition

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Scientists of Mongolia and Japan are collaborating on the development of a technology for the restoration of degraded pastureland. 
 
 
The project is one of the three projects shortlisted from 42 Bio-resources projects that competed for SATREPS (Science and Technology Research Partnership for Sustainable Development) program, implemented by the Japan Science and Technology Agency. Leading scientists at the Mongolian University of Life Sciences (MULS), Institute of Veterinary Medicine, Ecosystem Research Center, the Research Institute of Animal Husbandry, University of Tokyo, Kyoto University, and Tohoku Medical and Pharmaceutical University and the National Agriculture and Food Research Organization and some enterprises of Japan are collaborating in the project led by Professor of the National University of Mongolia J.Batkhuu.  ....
