Muncie man files suit, says weed killer caused his cancer

MUNCIE, Ind.  A Muncie man has filed a local lawsuit alleging his cancer was caused by contact with Roundup weed killer.
Defendants in the Delaware Circuit Court 1 lawsuit filed this week by David Hinkle and his wife, Mary Lou, are Bayer  which purchased Monsanto, developer of Roundup, in 2016  and the Muncie Rural King store, where Hinkle frequently purchased the herbicide.
In June 2020, Bayer announced it would pay more than $10 billion to settle thousands of lawsuits maintaining Roundup had caused cancer.
According to the local suit  filed by Logansport attorneys Jasmine Schlick and Scott Starr  David Hinkle repeatedly used Roundup to kill weeds beginning in the early 1990s, when he was working on his family s farm in Cass County. ....
