Community Heritage Grants Recipients 2017 The Community Heritage Grants (CHG) program provides grants of up to $15,000 to community organisations such as libraries, archives, museums, genealogical and historical societies, multicultural and Indigenous groups. The grants are provided to assist with the preservation of locally owned, but nationally significant collections of materials that are publicly accessible including artefacts, letters, diaries, maps, photographs, and audio visual material. 166 volunteers honoured at the WA Volunteer Service Awards Volunteers with more than 25 years of service to a single organisation or multiple organisations recognised National Volunteer Week runs from May 17-23 The State Government has recognised 166 Western Australians for their long-standing commitment to volunteering at the WA Volunteer Service Awards. Volunteering Minister Reece Whitby presented awards at a ceremony held at the Constitutional Centre today, as part of the 32nd annual National Volunteer Week. The awards program, run by the Department of Communities, acknowledges the significant dedication and contributions of Western Australian volunteers who have given more than 25 years’ service to the community. ....
