FAIRMONT SCHOOL BUS-SEMI TRUCK CRASH
A Fairmont School bus traveling south along Albion Avenue was involved in an accident with a semi-tractor trailer at the intersection of Albion Ave and Lake Aires Road about 2:55 pm Thursday afternoon. According to information from the Martin County Sheriff’s Office , the truck was moving east along Lake Aires Road as the bus was continuing south on the Albion Avenue.
The truck clipped the back of the school bus causing it to veer into the ditch where it ended up flipping on its left side. Inside the bus were 10 children and the driver. Three of the occupants were taken to Mayo Clinic Health System- Fairmont and treated for non-life threatening injuries. The semi driver was not injured. First responders to the scene were able to remove the children and the driver from the bus. The Fairmont Police Department, Fairmont Fire Department and Mayo Clinic Ambulance assisted the Sherif ....
