The sale marks the highest off-gulf closing in more than a decade in Destin, according to Jonathan Spears, founder of Spears Group with Scenic Sotheby s International Realty.
Spears was the agent listed on the property and said they confirmed the historic sale with data provided by the Emerald Coast Association of Realtors.
The home, located at 78 Hutchinson St., is blocks away from the lots newly purchased by the city of Destin for more public beach access and is part of a development called Park Row, containing seven homes designed with a more modern design in mind.
