Keizer man dies in crash on Highway 211 near Woodburn

A man was killed in a crash Thursday afternoon east of Woodburn.
Emergency crews and troopers responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of the Woodburn-Estacada Highway, Highway 211, and South Meridian Road at about 12:30 p.m., according to Oregon State Police.
Officials say Richard Russell, 84, of Keizer, was driving in a Ford Explorer when he turned from Meridian Road to Highway 211 and into the path of an oncoming semi truck.
Russell died at the scene of injuries sustained in the crash.
Two passengers in the Ford were taken by Life Flight helicopter to Emmanuel Hospital. ....
