Vendors from the weekly Barton Creek Farmers Market will soon be launching a second market on Sundays in the city of Sunset Valley.
Sunset Valley City Council on April 6 approved a special-use permit that will allow the market to open each Sunday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at 4805 W. Hwy. 290, Sunset Valley, located within the Kohl’s parking lot.
More than 40 possible vendors for the market were listed in the application, offering products including meats, dairy, fresh produce and prepared foods. The market will also feature local artists and crafters who will sell their products at the site.
The new market will be the third operating in South Austin when it launches. Currently, the Barton Creek Farmers Market operates on Saturdays from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Barton Creek Square Mall, 2901 S. Capital of Texas Hwy., Austin, roughly 1 1/2 miles northwest of Sunset Valley. ....
