The team will be responsible for conducting inspection of the medicine stock and their supply at private hospitals. It will submit a daily report to the Drug Control Organisation headquarters, the spokesperson said.

The Rajasthan government on Thursday set up a four-member committee to ensure availability of oxygen cylinders and medicines, including Remdesivir, for COVID-19 patients in the state. The committee was set up on the direction of state Health Minister Raghu Sharma, a spokesperson said.
It comprises drug control department officers Dinesh Kumar Taneja, Manish Kumar Modi and Komal Roopchandani, and Rajasthan Pharmacy Council member Navin Sanghi. ....

Kulgam: The Drug Control Organisation Anantnag/ Kulgam today ordered the suspension of the operation of eight medical shops across the district for non-maintenance of sales records and unhygienic conditions.
These shops were disallowed under the relevant sections of Drugs & Cosmetic Act by the sleuths of Drug Control Organisation Anantnag-Kulgam during supervisory checks of retail sale outlets of various areas viz. Kund, Oril, Razloo, NigeenPora, Kanchloo, Kraloo, Thathoo, Nagrus, Botengo, Devsar, Shoedevsar, Chowgam, Pahloo, Kilam, Akhran, Kulgam Main Market, Chadder, Frisal, Kader, Quimoh, Khudwani, Yaripora and other areas.
The licenses of two medical shops were also cancelled during the drive by these teams and the reason for the suspension ranged from non-maintenance of sales records, impersonation, unhygienic condition and improper storage conditions of medicines. ....
