The Malaysia United Democratic Alliance (Muda) has given the Registrar of Societies (ROS) seven days to grant its application to register as a political party or risk legal action.
Muda s pro-tem committee led by Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman - as one of the 13 co-founders - handed over to ROS the group s legal letter issued by the legal firm of former attorney-general Tommy Thomas.
Thomas, alongside former rights group Hakam chairperson.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysia United Democratic Alliance (Muda) has given the Registrar of Societies (RoS) seven days to approve the registration of their political party.
Otherwise, the newly-formed group threatened to proceed with legal action against the government agency.
Muda founder Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman said the application to register Muda was submitted to the RoS on Sept 17, and the sponsors for the party had yet to receive any update of the registration status from RoS. ....
