A 50-year-old Emirati was walking on a rocky mountain in Ras Al Khaimah when he slipped and fell off a cliff, the authorities said on Wednesday. The Air Wing team of the Ras Al Khaimah Police immediately came to his rescue and took him to a hospital. He sustained serious injuries and fractures.
Group Commander Saeed Al Yamahi, head of the Air Wing Section, said the incident happened a few days ago. As soon as they received the report, the search and rescue team was dispatched to the site. “The entire area was searched until the injured man was found, provided with first aid, and then moved to Saqr hospital.” ....

Travelling with like-minded girls, all with a shared passion for adventure and discovery, was a tempting idea. After seven years of trekking experience of mountains above 5000 metre high, I started posting my travelogues online for the adventure travelling community, I talked to many young women who had never gotten the opportunity to travel. Whether it was the lack of permission from their families or not having the right budget and resources, they had never been able to travel despite having the passion and drive. Chokramudi Peak - Trekking up the 7200 ft peak without enough preparation

We took the route through Pooppara -> Khajanappara -> BisonValley -> Gap Road.
Directions to reach the starting point of trek from the location in above picture.
The road is excellent all the way till Bison Valley post office. Google map was not showing the next turn correctly. Hence, had to look for Bison valley post office on the left before taking the turn to right from there.
At the post office, take a right to a small road that connects you to BisonValley-Gap Road stretch.
From here, the climb starts and it is mostly steep for about 5 kms. No confusions on the road once you start the climb towards Lockhart gap. Where ever there is confusion and if the fork on the road confuses you, keep left. ....

NY Man Sues Trek for $5M Over WaveCel Helmet Claims
Bontrager made some big claims with their WaveCel helmet technology when they released it in 2019, namely that the material is up to 48x more effective than standard helmets at preventing concussions during bike accidents.
According to Bicycle Retailer and Industry News, Andrew Glancey of Staatsburg, New York, is the lead plaintiff in a class-action suit against Trek for $5 million for making misleading claims. The lawsuit says that the claims are “false, deceptive, and misleading.”
The suit also claims that Trek’s studies which found the results that led to their marketing claims are financially incentivized. The suit says that the study didn’t use actual Bontrager helmets, but rather, a Scott helmet modified with WaveCel. ....
