(westernkansasnews.com)–The Scott City Lady Beaver softball team returned to the field for the first time in a week on Friday, as they made the trip to Stanton County to face the Trojans. They would come up with a pair of big wins, as they won the first game 21-2, and finished the day off with a 27-10 victory. In game one, Stanton County jumped out early 2-0 after an inning, only to see the Lady Beavers hang 12 runs in the second inning to lead 12-2. Scott City added four runs in the third and got five in the fourth to win 21-2 in four innings. Cheyenne Cramer gave up two runs, one earned, on three hits with seven strikeouts in four innings of work. Rhiley Stoppel had three hits and drove in seven runs. The Lady Beavers would take care of business in both games, coming away with wins of 15-0 and 18-2 in a pair of contests that did not make it past the sixth inning.
