She regularly hit the low 70s on the radar gun, yet didn’t allow a walk. “I think the thing of today was Montana Fouts,” Arizona coach Mike Candrea said. “I thought she truly threw a very good ballgame, really kept us at check. When you don’t have an offense sometimes I felt like a ghost at third base. There’s not much you can do. All you can do to win a game like that is to match them pitch for pitch. We didn’t quite do that.” ....

ACCOLADES The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) named Alabama’s Montana Fouts as a unanimous first team selection at pitcher. Catcher Bailey Hemphill joins her battery mate on the first team. Kaylee Tow was selected on the third team at first base. The honor is the third for Tow, previously making the list in 2018 and 2019, and the second for both Fouts and Hemphill who were second-team honorees in 2019. No selections were made in 2020. ....
