EDWARDSVILLE Multiple drug-related charges from Granite City ranging from delivery of cannabis to unlawful possession of methamphetamine and other controlled substances were filed by the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office Wednesday.
Akai J. Aikens, 37, of Centerville, was charged March 10 with unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, a Class 3 felony.
According to court documents, on Feb. 5 Aikens allegedly was found to be in possession of more than 30 grams of cannabis with intent to deliver. Bail was set at $15,000.
In a separate case, Domanick G. Tripp, 41, of Granite City, was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis 100-500 grams, a Class 4 felony. ....

EDWARDSVILLE – An Alton man was charged Wednesday with aggravated DUI while having a suspended license.
Nathaniel A. Osteen, 38, was charged March 10 with aggravated driving under the influence while license revoked/suspended, a Class 4 felony.
The case was presented by the Alton Police Department.
According to court documents, on Nov. 14 Osteen allegedly was found to be driving a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, and had a suspended driver’s license at the time. Bail was set at $20,000.

Melvin S Surratt, 35, of Godfrey, was charged March 5 with escape, a Class 3 felony.
Also on March 5, Justin D. Johnson, 43, listed as homeless out of Alton, was charged with escape, a Class 3 felony.
Both cases were presented by the Madison County Sheriff’s Department.
According to court records, Surratt, who had been convicted of being a felon in possession of a weapon on Nov. 12 and was conditionally released from the Madison County Jail through an electronic home monitoring detention program, violated the terms of that program by not returning to the jail at a designated time. ....

EDWARDSVILLE Possession of between 30-500 grams of cannabis resulted in a felony charge against a Belleville man Thursday, one of a number of drug-related charges filed by the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office.
Jarel E. Ford, 26, of Belleville, was charged March 4 with unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, a Class 3 felony.
The case was presented by the Granite City Police Department. According to court documents, on March 3 Ford allegedly was found to be in possession of 30-500 grams of cannabis with intent to deliver. ....
