Students at Bishop Hartley High School were taking a test Tuesday morning when a stray gunshot was fired into the building.
Columbus police were called around 9:26 a.m. to the school at 1285 Zettler Rd. on the city s East Side.
The bullet had pierced the building s wall around 8:49 a.m. and struck a metal beam inside the gymnasium on the northwest corner of the school grounds where about 59 students were taking a test. Two teachers were also in the gymnasium at the time, police said.
No one was hit by the gunshot.
