Banks continue to keep strong capitalisation levels : BNM | Daily Express Online

All banks remained well-capitalised to withstand potential shocks and to continue supporting credit flows to the economy, Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) said. 
The central bank said banks’ excess capital buffers amounted to RM124.2 billion as at April 2021.   
The banking system’s asset quality also remained sound, it said in its Monthly Highlights – April 2021 report released Monday.

KUALA LUMPUR, April 30 The local banking system has ample liquidity in March 2021 amid stable funding conditions, Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) said.
The central bank said Malaysia’s banking system continued to maintain healthy liquidity buffers, with the liquidity coverage ratio remaining strong last month at 145.1 per cent versus 147.1 per cent in February 2021.
“Banks’ funding profile also remained stable amid sustained strong growth in retail deposits,” it said in its Monthly Highlights report for March 2021 released today. ....

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 29 Global investor sentiments continued to improve amid expectations for an eventual normalisation of economic activities, following government authorisations on the use of Covid-19 vaccines by major economies, said Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM).
