Woman in her 30s dies on railway at Padgate train station


Police were called to the incident at Padgate station yesterday afternoon, Monday
THE person who sadly died on the railway line at Padgate yesterday afternoon, Monday, was a woman in her 30s, police have confirmed.
British Transport Police provided the tragic update this afternoon, Tuesday.
The force also confirmed that the woman’s next of kin have been informed.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious.
The railway line was closed in both directions following the incident, causing significant disruption to train services between Warrington Central and Manchester Oxford Road.
In a statement yesterday, a spokesman for British Transport Police said: “Officers were called to Padgate station at 1.40pm following reports of a casualty on the tracks. ....
