3 Wiltshire people who caused 'unnecessary suffering' to animals


These people from Wiltshire have been sentenced for causing unnecessary suffering to animals.
The offences include inflicting physical violence on a Shetland pony and discarding of four kittens by putting them in a bin.
The offenders, two men and one woman, were sentenced in the past six months.
Jason Paul Chalke
Chalke, 40, of Moyne Close, Devizes admitted causing unnecessary suffering to four kittens by putting them in a bin bag which was then chucked in a communal bin.
The offence dates back to August 17, 2019 and took place in Devizes.
Appearing at Salisbury Magistrates Court in January, Chalke was fined £616 and was ordered to pay a £62 surcharge and £85 in costs. ....

A WOMAN has been charged after allegedly attempting to set fire to a house in Hove using petrol and a brick wrapped in material.
Talisa Windsor, of Amberley Drive, Hove has been charged with attempted arson with intent to endanger life after the incident on Tuesday, May 11.
Officers were called to Moyne Close at 6.35pm to a report that a woman had attempted to set fire to a property using the petrol and a brick wrapped in material. ....

A CANNABIS dealer arranged his illegal sales over Facebook Messenger.
Detectives found social media messages on Michael Koutsou’s cracked iPhone as well as a mobile – complete with a peach-adorned cover – thought to belong to his girlfriend.
But 28-year-old Koutsou was spared an immediate prison sentence yesterday after a Salisbury judge noted he’d remained out of trouble and there had been significant delay in the matters reaching the court.
Prosecutor Lucy Conroy told Salisbury Crown Court on Friday that police raided Koutsou’s home in Moyne Close, Devizes, on September 18, 2019.
In total, they found more than 140g of cannabis divided between glass Kilner-style jars and plastic deal bags. The drugs were estimated by a police expert to be worth up to £1,420 on the street. ....
