Brandon Taylor of Worcester is due to be sentenced for the attack which left both victims in a hospital trauma unit. The 19-year-old will appear before Judge Nicolas Cartwright at Worcester Crown Court today and also faces sentence for other matters of violence. Asfandyar Kiani of Worcester was jailed for nine years at Worcester Crown Court on Friday following the horrific attack in which one half of the young couple suffered a broken jaw in three places and the other suffered a broken nose. Kiani, 21, of Ludstock Close showed no emotion when he was told he must serve at least two thirds of his nine year sentence behind bars.
1/1 A MAN who violently murdered a transgender woman in Droitwich has finally being jailed, more than two years after the offence took place. At a hearing at Worcester Crown Court on Thursday, killer Martin Saberi was given a life sentence after he finally admitted to killing Amy Griffiths at her flat in the town in January 2019. Displaying little emotion throughout the hearing, Saberi appeared via videolink from Broadmoor Hospital, where he has been throughout the case. He was also charged with a vicious assault on a woman in London just two days prior to Ms Griffiths’ death, which he was also given a life sentence for.
