Theo James Shocks Fans & Announces He's Not Returning to 'Sanditon' After Renewal News | Sanditon, Theo James

Theo James will not be back on
Sanditon, despite the news that the fan favorite show had been saved after a premature cancellation.
The drama had been cancelled after just one season, however, the network had decided to bring it back for two additional seasons following fan support on social media and the popularity it had on PBS.
Following the announcement,
Theo then revealed he and his character, Sidney, would not be returning.
“Although I relished playing Sidney, for me, I’ve always maintained that his journey concluded as I wanted it to,” he wrote in the announcement on the show’s official Twitter account. “The broken fairy-tale like ending between Charlotte and Sidney is different, unique and so interesting to me and I wish the cast and crew of Sanditon every success with future series.” ....

Wyoming Legislature Begins Budget Work

The Wyoming legislature has started work on a budget that proposes $450 million in cuts. The reductions are due to declining revenues from the energy industry and impacts from COVID-19.
A number of people have questioned the huge cuts to the Department of Health. Senate Appropriations Chairman Drew Perkins said they had no choice.
The cuts we are making don t help anyone and in fact they hurt many. But what are you supposed to do if you don t have the money? And where do you cut? Well, when we look at a $2.3 billion budget and close to $2 billion of it is in the Department of Health, guess where you have to cut? Perkins said. ....

Wyoming House Defeats Suicide Prevention Program For Schools

An effort to educate Wyoming school children on the topic of suicide prevention has been defeated by the Wyoming House of Representatives. Lawmakers defeated House Bill 62 saying that such discussions should take place outside of schools.
Gillette Rep. John Bear who lost his son to suicide, opposed the bill, saying young people need to get hope from the faith community.
But House Minority Floor Leader Cathy Connolly countered that not all young people attend church. She noted that in a legislative hearing on the bill, a number of students testified that they were aware a sibling was considering suicide. ....

Lawmakers Begin Work With Positive Revenue News

The Wyoming Consensus Revenue Estimating Group (CREG) said the state s revenue picture looks brighter. The latest CREG forecast shows an $82 million improvement from October. The news came as the legislature held an opening day session.
A lot of focus has been on budget cuts, especially to programs in the Wyoming Department of Health. Cheyenne Rep. Jared Olsen said the revenue picture is trending in the right direction.
That means we have another pool of money that we didn t anticipate having when we began building this budget in December, said Olsen. I do think there s an opportunity for the Appropriations Committee to revisit those health cuts. ....
