SRINAGAR: After the State Executive Committee announced the revised guidelines for the partial relaxation in the lockdown, Srinagar Administration stated that 96 Containment Zones will remain under lockdown, however, as allowed the public transport will ply with 50% seating capacity and both the Driver, helper/Conductor and shopkeepers will have to keep Covid Vaccination certificate to operate.
The normal functioning of private hospitals, nursing homes and clinics, E-commerce and courier services is also allowed.
In an order issued by the District Magistrate Srinagar which reads that under permissible activities, “Standalone shops of all types shall be allowed to open only on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. ....

The order issued reads,
“In consonance with the State Executive Committee guidelines vide order No. 29-JK(DMRRR) of 2021 dated 09.05.2021 and in continuation to this office order No: DSC/DDMA/THQ/21/332-44 Dated: 09.05.2021, I Mohammad Aijaz (IAS) District Magistrate Srinagar, in the capacity of Chairman DDMA, by virtue of powers vested in me under Section 34 of the National Disaster Management Act, 2005 read with section 144 of CrPC, hereby order that:
1. The provision of exemption for partially permissible activities from 8:00AM to 12:00PM (Para-B, items: i-iv) is hereby withdrawn till further orders.
2. Movement of Govt. Officials shall be regulated through passes issued by the District Administration, Srinagar and Heads of Departments shall regulate attendance of the employees at 50% strength in light of guidelines issued by State Executive Committee.” ....

SRINAGAR: As Jammu and Kashmir continues to be under lockdown following a steep rise in Covid-19 cases, the district administration of Srinagar today changed the schedule for essential shopping in the capital city. Now the shopping of listed items can take place for four hours ending at 12 noon.

5 More Localities Designated As Micro-Containment Zones By DC Srinagar

SRINAGAR: Following the discovery of forty-four positive cases here on Thursday, District Magistrate Srinagar Dr. Aijaz Assad has declared five more areas as micro-containment zones.
Sheikh-Ul-Alam Colony in Hyderpora, Hamdania Colony Sector 5 in Bemina, Usmania Colony in Bemina, HIG Colony Lane No 3 in Bemina, and Main Campus University of Kashmir in Hazratbal are among the newly notified localities.
According to an official, the notification was issued in response to the discovery of at least forty-four active Covid-19 cases and to prevent the virus from spreading further in the affected areas (GNS).
