CHILDREN S charity The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust had a reason to celebrate after a tough past 18 months. The Millington-base charity near Lymm raised an impressive £18,000 at their 21st Annual Golf Day which was held at The Mere Golf Resort & Spa on May 27. Twenty six teams, including two teams from Bright Futures Care, Warrington had a fantastic day of golfing at the prestigious club, which began with breakfast in the Mere suite before playing 18 holes in the glorious sunshine with plenty of fun and fundraising en-route. Competitions on the course included Longest Drive, Nearest the Pin, On the green in one and Beat the Pro with The Mere Golf Academy, all expertly run by the charity’s fantastic volunteers.

Cope Foundation’s annual Golf Classic fundraiser is set to swing into action again this summer for what will be its 25th year running.
This year s tournament will tee off in August at Monkstown Golf Club and will be the organisation’s first physical fundraising event of the year due to Covid-19 restrictions.
