An innovative pilot project to support the
mental health and resilience of the Queenstown
Lakes community now has the chance to become a national
model thanks to a new strategic partnership.
The
Queenstown-based Southern Wellbeing Trust has joined forces
with the Good Programmes Trust, national provider of the
award-winning, evidence-based mental health education
programme “GoodYarn”. Through the strategic partnership,
the two Trusts are now working to maximise the potential of
a pilot project being run in the Queenstown Lakes community,
with a view to creating a model that more communities across

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – A “gift of inspiration” from an anonymous donor for $25,000 to the Fort St. John Hospital Foundation’s Greatest Needs Fund was announced Friday.
Executive Director Niki Hedges says the donor wishes to remain anonymous and wants no personal recognition.
“Our foundation is very grateful to all our donors and supporters, especially a private donor such as this, whose wish is to support the health and wellbeing of the community, touching us all in one way or another, our friends, families, and neighbours,” says Hedges.

The donation to the Greatest Needs Fund will make sure resources are available to purchase new equipment to enhance patient comfort, care, and service at the Fort St. John Hospital and Peace Villa. ....
