The man wrongly convicted of murdering Jill Dando has praised Line of Duty for highlighting what the police do after a Down s Syndrome suspect was branded a local oddball . Barry George, who spent eight years in jail for Ms Dando s murder in 1999 before he was finally acquitted in 2008, commended the show s writers after Down s Syndrome character Terry Boyle was given the label by an officer.
